Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

ROUTE BOOK: BARNUM & BAILEY CIRCUS, GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH, 1903 & '04

This is one of many great old route books from the collection of the late E.C. "Buster" Bailey, I really wish I could have scanned more pages but sometimes the risk of damaging the book was too great. They contained not only the route, a day by day diary of events of the whole tour, and the program & photos of the acts, plus many interesting stories.

Bill: more great "stuff", thanks.

Hey! How did you get some of Buster's collection? We live only 8 miles away from Barbara. Glad she still makes tent gatherings and sure do miss Buster. Speaking of Buster, how many folks out there remember the old "Southern Sawdust" and all of those great Buster Bailey photos ??
