Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

NEW ELEPHANT TRUCK

When Patricia convinced the show to go to trucks it ended the elephant walks, it also ended the promotional value, but was much better for the elephants as it got them to the lot and unloaded much sooner. The trucks were designed by Patricia, except that they are typical of European semis with a single axle tractor and triple axle trailer. I never noticed if the trailer wheels turned like many over there do.

The tree limbs & branches in the foreground are brought fresh for the elephants in every town, along with a trailer load of fresh cut grass for the horses, and 6' high pallet loads of carrots for all the stock.
