SNAPSHOTS: TIMBA # 2

For reasons unknown, Timba at the age of 18 developed bleeding stomach ulcers, and as much as we didn't want to lose him, we refused to allow him to suffer and had him put to sleep. After the vet did an autopsy, he told me that for his age Timba was in remarkable condition, I replied of course, "then why is he dead?", seriously, it is like losing one of your family. He was very affectionate, but, if you even hinted at getting tough with him, you had the Devil by the tail. In the proccess of showing Trudy how to work with him, Lou Regan did something Timba didn't like & got run out of the arena. Timba responded well to both Trudy, & Jacqueline Zerbini, who worked with this act for 4 years before Trudy. Photo on Hamid-Morton, by Jim Cole. 1992

Before Timba came to Hawthorn, he belonged to John Campalongo, I seem to remember John saying they had a disagreement, and he lost.
