Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

We had the Great Golden Carlos Twins with us on the Castle show. These beautiful girls did a great act, but were so painfully shy they could hardly converse with anyone but Mary Castle. Their father was very ill at the time, and they took excellent care of him in their trailer.

The high skating act of Bob Top and partners was among the most bone-chilling I've seen.

The Twins are somewhat of a mystery, I have a picture of them performing in Europe as early as 1960. I have heard that they now claim to be the second set of twins.

You can't mention Hazel King without including her horse Major.

Bobby Gibbs started his circus career as a groom for Hazel King on Gil Gray's show. Bobby would leave home when school ended in spring and stay with the show for the summer.

Hi Bill,
I love your blog .I am a little disappointed not to have made the cut though.Especially after spending all that time playing football with David on the Texas Dates.
Sincerely,
