Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

OHIO COUNTY SHRINE CLUB ANNUAL CIRCUS: HARTFORD, KY, 1953

Here are three little single fold programs with no pictures I ran across in the Wilson store room, maybe they will bring back some memories.

This first show was produced by E.R. "Pop" Gray, of Evansville, Ind.

Bonnie and Phil did head to head and ground perch. Their son Don Phillips appears earlier in the program. Bonnie fell a few year after this and they started clowning in 1960 I think.

The Bontas were two of the nicest people i've ever known. they were clowns with sells and gray and phil could get a laugh with anything he did. bonnie had absolutely one of the best dog acts i've ever seen, her dogs always looked like they were having the time of their life.
