Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

THE PARROFF TRIO: ROMAN LADDERS

I have to apologize to John as I received this email quite some time ago, I get around to everything sooner or later.

My name is John Parr. I was on your site and found the Parroff Trio. You stated that you didn't know of this group. They consisted of my Grandfather Harry, my Father Charles an older brother Ernest. When Ernest died my Aunt Betty filled in. The last name was Shuetz or Shutz, there is some disagreement on this, but during the WWII Germans were not thought well of so they changed the name to Parroff. My Grandmother's name was Babette. Babette and her sister Katie's last name was Brumbach, from the Brumbach Circus in Germany
Thank you, John Parr

I believe this lady by the name of Betty also became my aunt. She had gotten married to Oglie Zavatta for a short time she went by the name of Betty Parroff and could speak German fluently. "Quite a Gal indeed".

If you look closely at the gal in the photo. You will see the resemblance to her son "Bobby Hubler"
