Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

IN MEMORY: BOBBY HAKES

Phips called this morning to let me know Bobby passed away last night.

Bobby was a retired concession manager, who worked his way up from "candy butcher" to owning his own business.
A little known fact is that he was also a member of Bill Atterbury's "Sky Kings", Sway Pole Act.
Bobby was another of those unique personalities who made our life a "Circus", he will be missed.

Bobby was a kind businessman. I purchased a couple of his videos, and obviously this is a great loss to the circus community. My sympathies to his friends and family.
