Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

BRING IN THE CLOWNS # 1

I hope the title isn't too corny, I thought "Where Are The Clowns", might step on some feelings, because there are some good Clowns around today. Starting out in the late 40's on Polack Bros. Circus, a little twist on the Clown Band. On Cymbals is Ruby Landrus, on Bass Drum is Jack Landrus, on Bells & Horn are the Georgetti Bros., on Trumpet is Dime Wilson, on Kazoo is Dennis Stevens, & on French Horn is Ed Raymond, and the Conductor is Gene Randow, and it sounds like this! Keith Killinger used to do a number called "Build A Band", he would introduce each section of the band, and say "and it sounds like this", and then before they would play the overature he would say and then you put them all together, "And It Sounds Like This". Hey Jim Peterson, don't feel bad about getting all choked up doing a description, this one was a killer for me. By the way the Bagpipe player was busy with his Blog & missed the picture!

You didn't read the description, the piper was busy with his Blog and didn't show up for the picture.

Ya, but you'd think that in a band of this size that there'd be 3 or maybe 10 pipers to balance the sound, --- say , this is the only time I've seen a picture of a bagpipe band, without bagpipes -- is that legal???
