Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

SNAPSHOT: PHILLIP DOUGLAS McDONALD

Phillip started out on Polack Bros. Circus, I don't know that it was first job there but he was Chauffuer for Louie Stern, he then went to Paul Kay, who had been Ringmaster for Al Dobritch, and on is own show. With Paul's guidence Phillip became, I believe one of the finest Ringmasters of our time. I have always been very traditional about Ringmasters' wardrobe and Phil's was anything but traditional, but on him it looked great. Circus America, 1974. Another real talent, taken from us much too soon.
