Moving up in time to 1946, this is the Clown Band from The Sparks Circus, it probably has more musicians than any show on the road today.

Great shot! I recognize Dime and Ernie. Do you know who the others are?
L to R: Phil Keeler, Elmer Linquist, Dime Wilson on trombone, Johnny White, Ernie Burch and Hodgini "boy". Dime Wilson's identifications from two very similar photos that I purchased from Bill Strong.
