About Me

- Name: 24-HOUR-MAN
- Location: GIBSONTON, FLORIDA, United States
Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

one of my personal show biz honor's was to work in the display with sue and rudi on the Ringling show. We closed in St. Louis that year, we both went in to evansville for Paul. They officially retired there! We Drove home together, they followed me to my place, backed up their rig and emptied all of the chimp props in my garage!!!I still have the last bunch of hats they made as well!!
I think Paul Kay, Doc Standring, & Joe Vesoza should open a retirement Community.
I thought Floria was the circus retirement community!

Good Morning dutchess,
That was sort of a private joke because so many performers have retired their acts in Evansville. Paul of course is the producer there, and Doc, & Joe, Circus Chairmen for the Shrine.
Makes me think of the dogs that retire after Westminster. Retire at the top and the best. In the states anyway.
I bought some circus memoribilia on Ebay a few years ago...turned out the seller was Sue Lenz. I sent her a note and she replied with the kindest letter and an autographed photo of she and Rudi with the chimps. They always had the nicest costumes, the nicest props and the classiest act in the business. The photo now has a prominent place on my "circus wall" at my house.
