Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

SPECIAL ANIMAL TRANSPORTATION

The top photo is the Giraffe trailer,(their word is Caravan), notice the telescoping top for traveling, the exercise pen loads into the truck that pulls it.
The section on the front is living quarters for the groom, whose job is the Giraffe, & the Hippo.
The Hippopotomus wagon is half water tank, which is lowered to rest on the ground when parked, the closed section is the feed room. The only problem with the Hippo comes when on moving day she refuses to get out of the water, I saw times they had to come back to get her the next morning.

We never did get a chance to see Circus Knie, we saw Roncalli, a beautiful show but finale ran for a half hour, Fliegen Pils,(Flying Mushroom), was different, the 1st half is Circus then at intermission the flood the ring and do Water Show, the best part was the Seals working in the water, and a Dove Act in a gondola, Carre was a good show, as was Benneweise, my favorites were Barum, Gert Semeneite,(SP?) is a gentleman and Medrano in Italy, very friendly, gracious people, both had great Animal Acts. I don't count Circus Chen, in Portugal, or Cita De Roma in Italy because we worked on them, and they were both a bad experience.
