Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

THE WOOD-PINSON FLYERS BECOME THE FLYING STEELES

In 1963 Trudy was replaced by her sister Joanne, who was now Mrs. Dennie Pinson. They were joined by Tony & Lilly Steele, and the Wood-Pinson Flyers became The Flying Steeles on Polack Bros. Circus. Rosa & Lilly were alternating in the act until Lilly suffered a broken leg when she hit the net wrong on a missed return. In the top photo Joanne is carrying about 6 months extra weight, named Dennie Jr.
