FROM JOHN HERRIOTT'S CIRCUS TRIVIA TREASURES

Here is a new one that might rattle your brains and I would hope the guesser would not be anonymous. So, We all know or know of circus greats Poodles Hanneford, Manuel Zacchini, Tony Smaha Sr. and Tarzan Zerbini. What, as performers, did they all have in common

They all not only did their act, but made appearence in the movies.
Poodles even was in the silent movies. Boy does that go way back. I'm glad I am not that old.

What I liked about silent films was, after watching an actors lips move for 5 minutes, a little sign would come up with three words on it????
