YESTERDAY'S TOWNS

HIGH ACT IN ACTION

We've seen lots of photos of the old "High Acts", now here is one in action, I shot this on the Tom Packs Circus in Columbus, Ohio, in 1957. The only thing I remember about the act is that the ladders were made of wood.

You might turn your speakers off as there is no music, just an annoying buzz. I have a copy with music and will switch them when I find it.


The rigging below strongly resembles the one in the film, the only thing is the act below is 4 girls, "The Four Queens".
