The first time I remember this gal she was still with her family's troupe in the 50's working on some fair dates. Being a kid in a unicycle act on the same route, my dad was practicing me on the cup and saucer bit. When she found out who my father was she would come and watch us work out. She had heard about my father. He too did some pretty fair monkey shines on the wheel.
I recall my dad telling us kids "that gal is going to be great one day".
Also back then got to work with a juggler who at the time was being managed by his uncle. He too was quite good and went by the name of Francis Bruin.

Hi all Lilly Yokoi fans!

Lilly will turn 80 this year. She is well and has retired in Tokyo. Her last performance was in 1982 at the Tower Cirkus, Blackpool, UK.
Thanks for your flattering comments. I will make sure to pass them along to her.

Her daughter...

Here is another Lilly Yokoi fan, ever since I first saw her on International Showtime years ago.

I also got to see her in person with the Globetrotters, 1977 or '78, in Los Angeles.

Only today I was talking to another of her fans and we were wondering if she were still alive. So glad to hear she is alive and well.

Monica, please do pass along greetings to this wonderful performer!

Sincerely,
PAT DAVISON www.SuperComedyShow.com
