Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

THE FIRE HOUSE GANG

We'll back up a little bit to the early 1940's but I'm not sure of the exact year. This was always one of my favorite gags. Here are Gene Randow, Dime Wilson, unknown, Kinko, Jack Klipple(?), and I believe Mickey McDonald.

I saw this gag on Gil Gray in 1960, and the alley consisted of Gene Randow,Harold Simmons, Dime & Connie Wilson, Lawrence Cross, Billie Burke, and Jack & Ruby Landrus. I will say this, you combine Gene, Dime, & several buckets of water, it is a riot, and no one on the floor is safe. On an outdoor date Gil drove in the back gate during the show, the fire house was in the ring, the music was playing but there was no one in sight. Then running from behind the band tent came Cleo Plunkett, with the whole alley in hot pursuit, each one with a bucket of water.

I have mis-identified Jack Klipple, he is the clown between Dime & Kinko.
