Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

LEAPING BACKWARD IN TIME

Off we go again, all the way back to 1928, and another angle of that great Downie Bros. Circus Midway, packed with people. Notice the benches on top of the trucks to carry the bands in street parades. The small tent to the right is the Sideshow, and the main entrance can be seen leading into the Menagerie, and the tunnel to the Big Top.
