Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

BARNES BROS. CIRCUS #2

This is one of the Barnes Bros.-Terrell Jacobs Cage wagons that was taken to Chcago for the annual Chicago Stadium Circus, whatever the name that year. The whole saga of the Arthur Wirtz, Terrell Jacobs, association sure lends truth to Paul Kaye's favorite remark, "You can't tell the players without a program". This photo, taken at what was the Terrell Jacobs Winter Quarters before being acquired by Artur Wirtz comes to me from Eva Williams.
