SOME OF THOSE PLUNKETT BOYS
Here are a couple pictures from Eva Williams, of some of the Plunketts, when we were with Gil Gray in the early 1960's it seemed like every town we played, a different Plunkett came to visit. The top photo is Corky, & his sons, Jeffry, & James 0n the Vargas show in the late 70's, the bottom photo of Fuzzy could be anywhere from late 50's to mid 60's, it seems like he was with Lone Star for a long time.

The Plunketts were among my best friends on the Castle show. I don't believe one single man knew more about circus than Corky Plunkett.
Worth being here just to know them!
The last I knew Jeffry does a Comedy Car, James is now the producer of the families circus.
Corky ,Cleo ,Fuzzy ,Jim ,Shnooks,Gloria.
I can't remember a time when I did not know of this tribe.Corky covered in grease, crawling out from under a truck, Cleo,, red tails and top hat, Fuzzy, leading around an animal, Jim, counting concession stock, Shnooks, banging on a drum, Gloria, just lookin good !It's the way I'll always remember them growing up as a kid.
The best party music I remember, was on the Castle Show, with Corky Plunkett on Trumpet, Cleo on Bass, & Dingy, or his son, Mike Ashton, on Drums.
