Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

THREE RING DISPLAYS I WOULD LIKE TO SEE

How in the world would one ever decide which of these Balancing Trapeze Super-Stars belongs in the Center Ring of a display, it's impossible. Left to Right are Elly Ardelty,(in New York's Latin Quarter, I'm guessing mid '50's); Pinito Del Oro,(Ringling Bros. Circus early 1950's); & Gala Shawn (Ringling Bros. Circus, Madison Square Gardens, 1957).

It's great that there are people who remember these wonderful performers and kept pictures...
wish I would have thought of that..

fatims, I never even thought to take or have pictures taken while performing. I can kick myself across the center ring for not doing so. Believe it or not my proudest accomplisment was learning to do web of all things. I know of one picture out there but it is in the hands of an evil person. I now take pictures everytime one of my animals breath.
