SNAPSHOTS BACK DOWN THE ROAD #4

THE LaBLONDE TRIO.
Bill, Bruce & Blondie, this was the last of the old time Comedy Aerial Bar Acts. Our music was "Happy Days Are Here Again", played as a Gallup, loud & fast, and that's how we worked from start to finish. I once heard Orrin Davenport say,"There's the best act there is to open a show

You know I was thinking this morn. while looking at the picture of Orrin in the Al-Sirat Fez. I remember when Forrest Wilson was chairman there, & Eddie Stinson in Detroit, Cecil Burns in Indianapolis, Simmons in Winnipeg, etc, etc. When people started complaining about all those "old fogies", & graft, & corruption, and the need to get new, young faces. So they got rid of all those "old fogies". Need I say more?

I repeat a conversation on the Texas dates once, someone said there wasn't a producer left that could put on a good show, I replied, that's all right, there isn't a committee left that would know one. I know there are a couple of exceptions, Evansville comes to mind, but then look how long they keep the same chairman.
