Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG ON TOUR,,,,IN TAMPA

Gibsonton was well represented at last night's performance of the touring version of the Broadway Musical CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.

Seen in the audience were Trudy & Bill Strong, Ward Hall, Bernie Berwin, Ken Brewster, and Cathy & Byron Moore,(Cathy is the daughter of Teresa Morales Machett). All agreed it was an excellent show especially the appearances throughout by Joanne Wilson's dogs who created great audience response.

I have to say though the "Star" of the show is "Chitty", the car, built by Rolling Stock Co. of Sarasota, it has to be the greatest prop I have ever seen, giving you the impression it is actually flying around the stage.

The show is in Tampa through Sunday, the 14th, so it's not too late. From Tampa they go to Appleton, Wisc. then on a tour of the U.S., & Canada.

Looking forward to when the show is in Baltimore in a few weeks and meeting Joanne and PeeWee!
Best wishes for the coming holiday season and thanks, Bill, for another season of "Yesterday's Towns."
