Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!
This Clown pops up quite often in the family albums, I have a photo somewhere of him down on one knee, kissing Lil Wilson's hand, which led me to think it might be Gil in a different character, but that would be completely contrary to all the others pictures I've seen of him.

I believe that this guy, with a much more traditional auguste makeup, turns up in the front row, right corner of the 1935 Hagenbeck-Wallace alley photo along with Jojo Lewis, Poodles Hanneford and Kinko Sunberry.
