Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

CHANGE OF SEASONS

What would Winter Quarters be without Winter, this is our, "little wooden house", sort of a mud room, that sure is handy, every Krone trailer in quarters has one. The other photo is looking toward the Krone buildings across the street, this one has the cookhouse in the basement, ponies on the first floor, and employees apartments on the upper floors.

You had to have a mudd room in the mountains of Colorado. "BRECKENRIDGE" The house was at the top of the ski lift. This was before all the building that ruined Colorado Mountains. It was where you stored your outer wear, boots etc. so you did not let all the heat excape the house. Chopping wood was a chore, so you were very careful about these little things.

Even us Southerners know what a "mud room" is.

I think I would have the horses on the bottom level. I would not want them over my kitchen. There is probable some health code in the States to prevent this layout. Then again maybe the methaine from the horses would not be safe underground. There are reasons for everything. I am sure the circus knows what thy are doing. I am just paranoid about the people in charge of the rules and regulation here. They know nothing about the health and care of performing animals.
