YESTERDAY'S TOWNS

HOWDY, MY NAME IS BILL STRONG, I'LL BE YOUR "24 HOUR MAN", ROUTING YOU INTO THE PAST TO SEE WHAT THE CIRCUS WAS IN DAYS GONE BY. IF YOU'RE LIKE ME, AND MISS WHAT IT USED TO BE, THEN COME ON ALONG AS WE GO DOWN THE ROAD FOLLOWING THE ARROWS BACKWARDS, TO "YESTERDAY'S TOWNS"! IF YOU HAVE CIRCUS RELATED PICTURES YOU WOULD LIKE POSTED, SEND THEM TO,,,,yesterday1@verizon.net,,,,AND WE WILL TRY TO FIT THEM IN. "24 HOUR MAN" WILL HAVE THE FINAL DECISION ON POSTING.

Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

SNAPSHOTS: SISTERS 3, OR 4

This is for Jim, down the road, or is that Down The Road Jim, anyway here are some of the sisters. There is one more, Penny, the oldest, who had already left the nest.
The top photo is Linda, Trudy, & Joanne on Gil Gray Circus in 1962, dressed for the Magic Lamp section of Spec, (if Trudy looks a little heavy, it's because she's carrying 3 1/2 months of extra weight). The middle photo is, Joanne, Donna, & Trudy on Dobritch International Circus in 1968, dressed for Loop The Loops in the Little Aerial Number. The bottom photo is Trudy, Donna, & Joanne at Evansville's Hadi Temple Circus in 1978, dressed for the Cradle Act display, consisting of, The Pharoahs, The Kneisleys, & The Aerial Pinsons. This was the last engagement for Trudy & I with the Cradle.
