Wasn't the Riddler played by Frank Gorshwin (not sure of the spelling)?

yes bruce, on TV it was Frank Gorshin,(who was a natural, as were Burgess Meredith, as The Penguin, & Ceasar Romero as The Joker)

Frank gorshin was the original Riddler on Batman, but John Astin also played the role towards the end of the series.
