Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

A CHECK IS AS GOOD AS MONEY,,,,,,AND THAT'S THE SAME AS CASH!!!!

Here are some interesting cancelled checks from shows in days gone by.

TO THE MICHIGAN RAILROAD CO.
It was marked on the back, "for car repair", can you imagine, it would cost 10 times that for them to look at it now.

TO KLIEGL BROTHERS LIGHTING CO. SIGNED BY HRN.
Anyone ever associated with theatrical, or circus lighting knows the name Kliegl Bros., even though they closed almost twenty years ago they are still one of the leaders in that field.

TO BORDENS
This is probably for the ice cream dessert in the cook house.

CLASSY LOGO!!!!

MY SALARY
Back when I was dealing with Ringling Bros. I asked for so much money, they just gave me a blank check,,,, told me to fill it out myself,,,, the only problem was, they forgot to sign it!!!!
