Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

KRONE KORNER: SYLVIA SCHICKLER

As far as I know Sylvia is the only one of the renowned Three Schickler Sisters still active, they were famous throughout Europe for their High School Horse Act.

I believe you are right, when I first met Sylvia she told me she had some relatives over here named Winn. She is a great lady, and she & her husband, Ringmaster Nicolai Tovarich are good friends. Sylvia will be vacationing with us in Feb.

Some where, sometime in the 50s I saw this or another like it. There were two carriages and horses. One was all white the other Black. A white poodle walked between the spokes of the black carriage and the black through the white. This was one of the first things I saw at my first circus with JC. I have no idea what circus it was either. It was just so beautiful that I remember it like yesterday. Instead of 45 years ago. Every thing was covered with flowers and the humans in fancy dress.
