FROM NINETTE:NOBY ARDEN KREISCH

There have been many youngsters from Circus Families leave our business for the bright lights of Hollywood, and careers in the Motion Picture Industry.

Noby Arden, daughter of Arden & Norbert,(Norbu) Kreisch, has made a name for herself as a Stunt Person, & Stunt Coordinator. I couldn't even begin to give her credits here, I suggest you go to Google Search, & type in Noby Arden Kreisch, for her complete film history.

THE CADDY & THE PRO
I think that's the "Pro", on the left.

THE ALMOST HUMAN GORILLA
Here's Noby when she replaced her mother in the Gorilla Act, she said the problem with her father was that he was always monkeying around.

Don't mean to change the subject.
Does the present problem with dog & cat food affect any of our people with dog acts??

I'm sure as long as they keep up to date on the recall list they will be all right, I know Trudy checks it every day.

I think most Circus people use Purina and they had very ltttle effect from this.

An interesting thing that this also proved. We once went into a meat company in Texas to get meat for the Tigers, they also made dog food, in the office was a blackboard with the names of almost every brand of dog food there is. They are always trying to tell us which one is best, & they're all made in the same place.

Thanks 24-hour man
In the old days in England...they used to cook their food for their dogs......of course, they did not have overnight jumps....etc
Also, no one had money to spare...

Having been in dog training, showing, rescue, nurseing, etc for close to 40 years I have studyed the feeding of these wonderful animals. I always tell clients its not the price that matters or the pretty pictures on the bag. I have used OLD ROY Lamb and Rice for about 10 years. Never a problem with any pet. I never feed puppy food either. When I just had 10 pets I made my own food. HALO a wonderful company used to let me purchase their SPOT's STEW by the cases. When I got 60 pets and could not afford to buy their product they sent me the receipt. I used cornish game hens as the protein. In December of this year my Little Shi Szu "KAREN" died very quickly. As I had had dental surgury on her this summer I added water to her regular Lamb/Rice food. Thinking I was doing something special for her, I bought the Pouch Food. It was one of the recall pouches. I cry still just writing this.

John Cuneo had show dogs as a young man. He made their food using beef and brown rice. He added vitimens [?] He showed Setters if I remember right.

Carlos Garcia. Always made home made soup, beef, bones, vegeteables, rice e.c.t. for his great Dane dog, and donuts some time for his treats. the dog lived a long healthy life.
all this means that there is nothing as good for humans or animals as a home made meals.

I often pour a can of either green beans, corn, carrots, etc. on their dry dog food. I buy the baby carrots in the bag for treats. I use can pumpkin for for giving pills. Everything I do for my pets is done with lots and lots of LOVE. I forgot I give each one a sardine once a week. Once in a while a boiled egg.

Aldo Cristiani use to give one raw egg a week to make their pelt shiny, and it did work prety well, his Doberman pincher allways did look in the best of healt.

Ninette, I have found that feeding raw eggs is a little rough on the pets stomach. The leopards and dogs in my cage act always get raw eggs and milk on Sundays. I also skip one day of feeding anything to my pets. Everyone of them is beautiful. Do you have pets?

Gosh guys...a thousand pardons for my very rude interruption the other day.....I was really unaware
that I was starting an interesting
blog about dog food.
So, now back to that lovely lady, Noby. I would like to know how many years she worked with her father....was it in the 60s or 70s?

No apology needed, that's blogging! As for your question, my son David was born in '63, & he and Noby are pretty close. The Caddy & the Pro, which was a cute act, started with Norbert carrying the Golf Bag in, and of course Noby was inside, that would have been early to mid '60's.

Here is what I got from the google search on circus kids who left the business-

Noby Arden=
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0034009/

Darlene Williams=
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0930366/

David Strong=
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0834962/

Are these 3 the only ones who left the biz & went into movies? Darlene Williams seems to be doing really well for herself. Are there other sites to look them up?

Our youngest son Steven is also in the film industry as a lighting technician, & best boy. He just finished working on Ocean's 13, Die Hard 4, & is now filming "Iron Man".

The last I knew Dennis Zoppe Was still working at North Carolina Films in Wilmington, Scott Hillman, his mother is a Plunkett, was at one time working there. Bobbie Huber, son of Fritz & Betty Huber,(Sensational Kays,Highwire Act of the '50's)Bobbie got my son David into it, plus some others. One person I have to add is Jay W. Yowler, he lived down the road from our farm in Ohio and was & is David's best friend from the first day of the first grade when they met on the school bus. He is not a Circus kid but has been around a lot of shows with us & is like a third son.

Both of Beverly & Antar Wazzan's sons have made it very big, I don't know if they have done movies but I know they made good in stage, & music concerts.

And let's not forget the great Stunt Man, & former Flying Act Catcher, Bobby Yerkes.

I think we can all be proud of all these kids, all their families have something to brag about! I'm proud of the fact that so many kids from our business have all excelled at whatever fields they have gone into.
Both of my sons say the things that got them where they are is their Circus background, & the way they were raised, (that's from circus life too)!

Ninette- you must be the head of the Noby Fan Club? All I meant to say is that as a circus fan & a movie fan Darlene has a heck of alot of credits (88 credits) with future movies all the way up to 2008.
I went to Noby's, she has 18 credits. There is no competition here it was just a statement. I had no problem looking both of them up from the sites people have listed above.
This is what I typed in and I got video too-

http://imdb.com/name/nm0930366/

Sorry to rain on your fan club parade.

Sorry I was mistaken
www.imdb.com lists Ms Williams with some 155+ credits.
But there is no area for live show type of credits. Just tv & movies credits.

At least we got off the dog food!!!

I remember years ago when a performer sat in my trailer, leaned back & stretched his arms out on each side of the back of the couch, and said, "Baby, when it comes to counting points, I'm way ahead of everyone". I replied, "That's your problem, youre always counting points".

Why does everything have to become a competition, why can't we be content to be proud of these kids for what they have accomplished and leave it at that. I think we can look at them equally, from the ones that work in big films, to the ones who work as stagehands at Van Wezel, or the ones working in technical fields like "Shaz", with Brighthouse, & I believe Delilah for Verizon. There's where the credits belong, because there are a hell of a lot of worse roads they all could have gone down.

End of sermon!!!!

Thanks' 'Chester' But You are under a different circuiT. and it looks like you are on the war path" and that is a negative way of seing things, and I feel sorry for anyone in that category of thougths. I just like to give anyone compliments when I see they desserved,if you check all of my comments you would see the reality. And I did try (all) 3' times to no avail. but now I will try your new web site, and no! I am not! a menber of any fan-club or compare credits whith no one. But then you must be! or are a family member?? I' did not hide miself under anonymous, no reason too.

I signed my name not just anonymous. I am not family of any of the circus kids or Bob Yerkes. Id like to sign in but dont know how to do it. As I said before I am a circus fan & movie fan. I enjoy these circus picture sites and also enjoy searching for other links and more information on people listed. The IMDB has lots of great info on movie making. Retirement leaves lots of time on my hands for learning new skills like the computer & internet. I was posting what I had found on other circus people. Ninette-Seems like you have a problem with talking about the other successful people I had added. There was no competition just a statement. Tried to look up the credits you spoke of but couldnt find any of them on any site.
I believe they all the people deserve compliments as the 24hr man said, as I would imagine it is not easy to leave the circus to pursue a new career.
Now lets get back to talking about dog food!
