Three years at CWM made me a real traditionalist, and I keep remembering Bob Parkinson saying, "I want the people to see what the circus used to be, not what it is today. That's what this site is about!

FIRST IMPRESSION #2: LOVELY LADIES #2

TRUDY STRONG
In the "Jungle Drums" aerial ballet on The Gil Gray Circus in '62 Trudy was preceeded in the ring by a maiden dancing on a huge drum, accompanied by 7 shield carrying dancers.
Trudy suggested I name the dancers, soooo, L to R, Drum Dancer Anne Phegly, Carmen Mon Ton,(Del Molino),Jeanie Johnson, Elsa Sidney, Sandy Canistreli, Hedi Mays, Linda Wilson, & Ba Warkmeister.

carmen del molino made a fantastic entrance with her trapese act -- she was the epitome of style and class with her cape and all the little things she did before climbing up the web. she had a special way of kicking off her high heels and twirling the rope -- she always got more applause with her entrance than most acts ever got at the end. Such a beautiful performer and a beautiful person. she was the perfect centerpiece for a big aerial ballet.
